basically, management is following the right rules and regulations of management, and being able to work out and identify harzadous actions in an organisation, considering the workers and consumers safety and satisfaction. it is creating solutions to poorly managed environments. it is applying simple but effective ways of running management processes in an organisation.

According the video clip, its important to follow procedures in an orderly fashion to prevent chaos in your working environment. If you’re not organised it could mean the end to your business. Your businesses reputation is determined by how well it is being managed.

management has to do with meeting consumer needs by creating a good environment and treating employees fairly interms of bonuses etc.
Busiswa. Thanks for you comment. Tell me, are there other ways additional to bonuses in which a company can treat its employees fairly?
Yes there are for example things like trust funds, insurances in order when you lose your job or get in a case where you become ill or somethin then die then the company will able to five your family the funds
management has to do with raising productivity by means of getting more well trained staff, getting more clients for the specific organisation and getting more effecient equipment.

Management is about knowing how each department operates and how to engaged with the people that are under your authority.
Zama. I agree with you. What do you think is an appropriate way to engage with staff members under your authority?
In my understanding, in order to manage the workflow of a business and/or organization correctly there is many processes and rules to follow. “Understanding the task to be executed, the order it is to be accomplished in, who is involved in the task(s), the system to be used and the rules that need to be followed.” In order for this to be effective COMMUNICATION in my opinion is key to successful management.
Laura. Wonderful comment. I agree with you. Communication is often one of the biggest causes for failure. Why do you think people fail to communicate effectively, especially in a working environment?
i think management is a manner or process in which a person or group of people manage work procedures by organising employees and the company in such a way that the company runs effeciently and the business becomes a success. in order for this to occur both managers and employees play an important role, and more importantly they both have proper communication channels.

Work flow management is the way you run and and maintain your business. The way you organise yourself and your business complete effects the outcome. It can either make or break it. Without organization and planning their will be caos. This all relates to management basically.
Deidre. Thanks for this one. I agree. A business without proper management ends up in chaos. How does good management prevent chaos?
management is the proccess follwed by managers to control and organise objectives and goals that need to be met in order to maintain the smooth running of a company/orginisation. work flow managemnet is the process and procedures which enable tasks to be completed and with out work flow management the company will be in chaos.
Feroza, thanks for your comment. Smooth running is definitely what managers look to achieve. Can you think of things that effect the smoothness of the running of a business? What things make it chaotic?
Without effective management, loss of income is pretty much guaranteed. By implementing effective management techniques such as simple, clear workflow operations, the business will run more smoothly, as shown in the clip. It’s also clear that the simpler management is kept, the more effective it can be. It doesn’t necessarily have to involve many people or procedures, as long as there is a clear system in place, it should be effective.
Cara. Very good. I like that you have picked up that management does not have to be complicated. In fact, the simpler the better. Often complicated management procedures actually defeats the purpose. Can you give me an example of this in our everyday society? Where are things complicated when they could be easy?
work flow management is the process in which an organisation operates. If these processes are not handled well , this will lead to customer dissatisfaction and many other related problems, as in the case of the first doctor. But as for the second doctor the processes were scaled, mantained and managed in a more efficient manner thus the productivity was raised, the costsmlowered and the consumer needs were met. At the end of the day every one was happy
Rugare. Well done for picking up that good management actually influences profitability. The more complicated and messed up processes are, the more room for money to get lost or for costs to be increased. Tell me, how does a bad system influence the customer?
Management, may it be good or bad, can not function without workflow. Keeping this in mind when runing a succsessful business it must be designed to be effective and be continiously regulated.

It could be done anually for instance, or if they wanted to be very effective every 6 months either internally or externally. Externally would be best – more objective I reckon…
My objectives for the pasta company:
– by 10:30 the lasanga sheets for 20 dishes needs do be done and drying.
-at 10 the vegetables for the veg 5 lasange needs to be chopped and sauteed.
– shaping of all the ravioli must be done before 11
– selling of ravioli + lasange (veg and chicken) starts at 13:30
Management is the process to controlling,organising and planning in the food production companies.Management is the key successfull element to run a business, few years back many companies had closed because of mismanagement.

Can you think of ways in which technology could be/ is integrated into a fast food restaurant to improve productivity?
basically,management is very important in a business. workflow management is the procedures that needs to be followed inside the business in order for the business to be a success or running smoothly. If such procedures are not followed, there might be a ‘dent’ in the business. management also includes certain goals and objectives companies set that needs to be achieved at the end of a specific time to be sure that the business actually accomplish the goals set. the workflow also ensures that the business’ needs are kept constant and also in a way balanced.

Well, I think that if the specific goals are met, or if the management of the business is of such success, that the workflow for instance will be kept constant? the way in which they do certain things within the business. the business will stay balanced if a constant wokflow plan is achieved and by following correct procedures and regulations.
From the video i understand that workflow management is a process that all businesses need to run smoothly. Without the proper procedures being followed many things within the business can go wrong which can result in negative consequences. A successful business needs organization and a proper system in place to make sure the business operates as it should, money is being made and that everyone is kept happy.

Work flow management is about planning and following the right procedures that can lead a business to be successfully. To maintain standard procedures of marketing and effective standard of communication with your employees and your suppliers in the business industry.To understand the needs and wants of your employees and cusumers.Is a process to be followed in the business accordingly and continuouslly, the tasks to be followed by your workers.It is important to know your empolyees strengths and weaknesses and maintain a good relationship between you and your employees.

Depicting from the above video, I understand Management as being a key function in the smooth running of a business. The role of management is to ensure that a work place is well runned and maintained to receive the benefits it aims to as a business. The video also shows the major faults that occur from poor managment and how chaotic it can become, I think that management is thus an essential skill to enabling success in any work place.
